Microsoft 365 Multi-Factor Authentication
Overview
All Teleflora employees are required to use MFA (multifactor authentication) when logging into the Office 365 web portal or any applications connected to Office 365. This includes services such as OneDrive, Word, and Excel.
Everyone must review their MFA settings, even if MFA is already set up, to ensure all information is current. For example, if an old phone number is registered and you no longer have access to it, you may be unable to log in once MFA is enforced.
To review or update your MFA settings, go to: https://aka.ms/mfasetup
If, after signing in, you are taken directly to your security information page, MFA is already configured. Review the listed methods and confirm they are correct. If you are prompted to begin setup, follow the steps below.

Begin Setup
- Go to https://aka.ms/mfasetup
- Sign in using your teleflora.org username and password
If MFA has not been set up previously, you may see a setup screen prompting you to choose a verification method. You can either:
- Set up the Microsoft Authenticator app on a smartphone or tablet
- Select I want to set up a different method to use SMS text messages or phone calls

Setting Up the Microsoft Authenticator App
Download the App
Before continuing, download the Microsoft Authenticator app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on your mobile device.

Complete App Setup
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app on your device
- Follow the on-screen prompts during the MFA setup process
- When prompted, enter the code displayed on your computer screen
- Select Next to complete setup
Entering the code and selecting Next completes the Microsoft Authenticator app setup.
Once MFA is enforced, signing in to Office 365 services will require approving the login request through the Authenticator app on your phone or tablet.
Do not approve any login request that you did not initiate. If you receive unexpected approval notifications, contact the IT Support Desk immediately.
Setting Up SMS Text or Phone Call Verification
If you skipped the Microsoft Authenticator app setup, or if you want to add a phone-based method:

- From the security information page, select Add method
- Choose Phone
- Enter your phone number
- Select either Text message or Phone call
- Select Next to complete setup
Text message fees and carrier rates may apply.
After completion, the phone number will be used as a verification step when accessing Office 365 resources.
Managing Your MFA Methods
After setting up at least one authentication method, you can return to https://aka.ms/mfasetup at any time to:
- Add new authentication methods
- Update or remove existing methods
- Change your default verification method
- Create application passwords for older or non-browser-based applications that do not support MFA
