Procedures for Reporting a Fire or Other Emergency
In the event of a fire or other emergency, the supervisor on duty should immediately contact all employees using the intercom system.

- Outside emergency services can be reached by dialing 9-911
- Fire pull stations are located throughout the building and should be activated to alert employees
Emergency Evacuation and Route Assignments
If evacuation is required for any reason, all employees must meet in the west gravel area of the parking lot to be accounted for.
- Remain far enough from the building to avoid physical danger
- Do not leave the premises until accounted for by a supervisor or designated personnel and given permission to leave

The entrance to the mailroom is not an emergency exit because it is locked at night.

Upstairs, South Building

Elevators and the catwalk must not be used during emergency evacuation.
Critical Operations Prior to Evacuation
The Teleflora operation in Oklahoma City will be contacted if an emergency occurs.
- Consumer Direct Resource Desk personnel are trained to route phone calls to Oklahoma City during emergencies
Accounting for Employees After Evacuation
All employees must meet in the west gravel area of the parking lot.
- Supervisors or designated personnel are responsible for accounting for employees in their department
- If someone is unaccounted for, Human Resources must be contacted immediately
- Supervisors or assigned personnel will meet emergency services upon arrival

Rescue and Medical Procedures
First Responders are responsible for first aid and CPR and act as the primary contact for emergency medical services.

- By the elevator doors in Consumer Direct and Technology Center
- First Responder Station in the southeast corner office of the Consumer Direct Department

Fire Prevention Program
Monthly inspections focus on:
- Keeping emergency exits, aisles, and stairways clear
- Ensuring fire extinguishers and alarms are unobstructed
- Verifying fire extinguishers and emergency lights are operational
- Keeping electrical panels clear

Tornado Procedures
When threatening weather is present, Human Resources and supervisors will monitor conditions using weather radios and local media.
- Announcements may be made over the PA system
- New Building PA: 4315
- Old Building PA: 188
- Consumer Direct Resource Desk notifies personnel training after business hours
- All personnel must evacuate the second floor immediately
Designated Tornado Shelter Areas
- Center hallway
- Bathrooms and showers in the South Building
- Main conference room
- Stairwells
- Interior offices without glass windows, including IT areas
Personnel should:
- Stay away from glass
- Sit in a crouched position and cover their head
- Take shelter under heavy furniture if available
- Remain in shelter until the all-clear signal is given
Earthquake Procedures
During an earthquake:
- Take cover under a desk or table until shaking stops
- Brace in door facings if necessary
- Use caution when exiting due to potential hazards such as live wires or ruptured gas and water lines
- Move away from buildings to avoid falling debris
Terrorist Threat Procedures
- Stay calm
- Quietly signal for help
- Maintain eye contact
- Stall for time
- Continue communicating while following instructions
- Do not attempt to grab a weapon
- Do not risk harm to yourself or others
- Escape to a safe area if an opportunity arises
- Contact local police by dialing 9-911
Bomb Threat Procedures
- Remain calm and keep the caller talking
- Do not hang up
- Signal a supervisor or designated lead to call local police at 9-911 from another extension
- Ask the caller to repeat information and write it down
- Ask where the bomb is located and when it is set to detonate
- Listen for background noises and note details
- Record voice characteristics such as pitch, accent, and gender
- Attempt to obtain the caller’s name, location, and phone number
