Florist New Feature Request

Procedure/Information Relating to tracking Feature Requests

We have a new way to track features requested by florists. This comes from a WOW project that part of the team worked on.  We want to start logging every request for a new feature that comes from a florist.  If the new feature gets added, we can then notify all of the florists who requested it and show them how to use it.  Please let me or Lindsey know if you have any questions on how to do this.  We can even walk you through how to do the first one you get. We don't expect that we will get a ton of new feature requests but we want to do a better job of keeping up with the requests we do get.

Please bookmark this page to log the new feature request.

Click the new button and fill in the following fields.

  1. Requested Feature - A short title of the new feature
  1. Description - A long summary of the new feature or an expansion of an existing feature. The more detailed the better.
  1. Date
  1. Reported by - Your name
  1. Requesting Shop TFID - Enter the full shop code of the florist, one per line
  1. Images and file are optional - This is if the florist sent a mockup or supporting files as some florists are known to do for features they are passionate about.

We also have a new ticket issue type for logging these feature requests under Inquiry. After adding the request to the feature tracker, you will open a ticket and assign it to Felix or Lindsey. The comments will simply be the link to where you added the feature request to the tracker. You can right click the link to the new feature request you added to copy the link. The purpose of opening the ticket and assigning to us is so we will get notified of the new request. We will check to make sure it's not a duplicate request in the feature tracker or if it's a part of an existing Jira that might need to be linked to this florist. If it's a brand new request, we will open a Jira and add the Jira number to the new feature request.

Once a new feature is added to the platform, we will use the shop codes we collected to notify the florists by call or email depending on how many requested the new feature. As always, we never guarantee if or when a new feature will be added to the platform. Some requests may be deemed as not feasible and be closed out.
