Handling Delivery Confirmation Concerns

If shops call in requesting to remove delivery confirmations:

  • The toggles located under Marketing and Promotions > Email Settings apply only to ePOS shops.
  • If a shop has questions or concerns, you can let them know:
    • Delivery confirmations were implemented as part of a new credit card fraud prevention program.
  • If the shop would like more details or further clarification, please transfer them to Dove.

Delivery Confirmations

Dove Plus delivery confirmations now support 24 Hour Flower and eFlorist web orders.

Orders are shaded according to their order types and confirmation status when viewing the Delivery Confirmations page.

  • Yellow indicates Dove Network orders.
  • Gray indicates 24 Hour Flower orders.
  • Blue indicates eFlorist web orders.
  • Green indicates Confirmed orders.

Delivery Confirmation messages for eFlorist and 24 Hour Flowers orders do not send delivery confirmation messages to the Dove Network or generate Dove Numbers. Additionally, customers do not receive email confirmations of delivery.

Note: Florists will not face any additional penalties if they choose not to confirm an eFlorist order. This change is only intended to make managing and tracking orders easier within their system.

Proof of Delivery

The ability to add Proof of Delivery has been added to confirmed 24 Hour Flowers and eFlorist web orders, allowing users to both store and view photos and signatures for these orders as-needed.

Note: Once more, this change does not bring about any additional charges, and has simply been made to aid florists in order documentation.

 

Dove POS (Version 8.5)

Online Bill Pay

Dove POS now provides customers with the ability to pay their House Account balance online using the shop's eFlorist Website.

Customers who place orders on a shop's eFlorist website are now assigned an eFlorist Account Number, which shops can locate on their Dove POS System under Customer Account Maintenance > House Account > Payment Info

Customers who login to their online eFlorist account have a new Pay Your Bill option available when accessing Account Info.

After selecting Pay Your Bill, customers are directed to the Account Payment entry page where they will enter Method of Payment details before submitting the payment.

Received eFlorist Account Payments are displayed in the New Orders / Messages tab of the Dove POS Action Items screen.

Florists can click Process Online Bill Payment at the bottom of their Action Items screen to open the Take Account Payment screen. From there, they can click Process Payment to complete the customer’s payment.
